Celebrate spring with a trip back to ancient Egypt via Asheville when Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures opens at Biltmore, March 21st, 2025. That same weekend also marks the start of spring and Biltmore Blooms, the 3 month long, annual celebration of the season.
Spring is one of the most colorful seasons here in Western North Carolina. This is true no matter where you go in the Asheville area but especially our neighborhood. Bent Creek Lodge’s location is just off the Blue Ridge Parkway and literally right next door to NC Arboretum. Two of the area’s most popular, nature-lover hotspots.
You sure don’t have to go far to take in natural beauty when you stay at Bent Creek Lodge. Our Asheville bed and breakfast is nestled in the forest, with landscaped grounds. We even have a nature trail leading past native perennials, down to the creek and our fire circle.
Did I mention Bent Creek Lodge is also only 15 minutes from Biltmore Estate? Anyone visiting Asheville this spring will not want to miss a visit to Biltmore!
Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures at Biltmore
Enter the world of 1922 Egypt, when British archaeologist Howard Carter unearthed the stunning tomb of a young pharaoh. Tutankhamun: His Tomb and His Treasures opens March 2nd, 2025 at Amherst at Deerpark.
This world-class exhibition recreates the tomb’s interior just as Carter first saw it—packed with golden treasures, ornate chariots, and sacred artifacts. Over 1,000 expertly crafted replicas bring these priceless relics to life. A stunning and immersive glimpse into one of history’s greatest discoveries.
Unlike traditional museum exhibits, these precise reproductions allow for close-up viewing of each artifact. Gaze at golden chariots, sacred statues, and intricate coffins. See the iconic, gold burial mask up close. Every piece tells a story of ancient Egypt’s rich culture and beliefs about the afterlife.
A guided audio tour allows for a self-paced tour as you spend 1 to 2 hours exploring the intricate displays and learning about Tutankhamun’s short but fascinating reign.
This stunning exhibition runs through January 4, 2026. Visit biltmore.com for tickets and more details.
But wait – King Tut’s tomb isn’t the only attraction at Biltmore this spring. It’s also the start of Biltmore Blooms!
