Perfect Mini Break My husband and I really wanted to escape the heat of Richmond, VA and have some sort of safe get-away in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. We found the perfect spot at Bent Creek Lodge. We stayed three nights in The Bird Room. The bedding was soft, the towels fluffy and the air was cool. Randy’s recommendations for Must-Dos based on our interests were spot-on. The staff’s hospitality was wonderful and the breakfasts were incredible. We loved the hummingbird’s visit each morning as we ate. We loved dinner on the parkway and watching the sunset. We loved hiking and swimming in Dupont Forest. Dinner at Rhubarb and lunch at Wicked Weed Brewing Funkatorium in downtown Asheville were delicious. In short, we left wanting more and hope to return soon.
