2024 was an unusual year, here at our Asheville NC bed and breakfast. It started out well enough but took a distinct turn at the end of September with the arrival of Hurricane Helene. Despite this, we still made many warm memories of guests and good times at the Lodge and are eager to see what 2025 has in store!
Western North Carolina is generally very welcoming but I think I can speak for everyone when I say that, if we never see Hurricane Helene or any of her relatives again, it will be too soon. Recovery from the storm is ongoing and, in many cases, the turn around has been surprisingly fast. While a few things will never be the same, most attractions are back open and eager to see you. Places like Biltmore Estate, NC Arboretum, many sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway, and all of downtown Asheville.
Next year’s event calendar certainly seems unfazed. I see plans for both new events and all the usual favorites. Shindig on the Green, Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands, Blue Ridge Pride, LEAF, AVLFest, Christmas at Biltmore, and more. In fact, we have a few of our own events coming right up: 2 Bourbon Dinner Weekends, in February and March!
While many trails and recreation areas were impacted, our Asheville NC bed and breakfast is still at the epicenter of all the areas best hiking and mountain biking. When it comes to sight-seeing, don’t forget that we are right off the Blue Ridge Parkway and next door neighbors to the NC Arboretum. Our quiet, forest location south of Asheville makes us a popular choice for corporate retreats and meetings, family reunions, elopements, and micro weddings.
Whatever brings you to the area, Bent Creek Lodge is here to help you make the most of your Asheville getaway!
2024 At Our Asheville NC Bed and Breakfast

“I cannot say enough great things about Bent Creek Lodge, Randy, & the whole team. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, and we couldn’t have picked a better place. The lodge is secluded in the woods for an intimate setting, and is still so close to Asheville & the Biltmore. Walking right out of our room onto the back porch, sipping hot coffee as the sun came up over the mountains was a highlight for us. And the breakfast each day was incredible! I wish I could make fluffy banana pancakes the way they do. We will definitely be back to Bent Creek Lodge!“

“I had a great stay at the lodge. There are a lot of reasons to want to stay here. The location is a big one. With wooded trails to the blue ridge Pkwy and french broad river views on the way in, you are really in a treasured spot in Asheville. While not “in town”, you are not far from anything in Asheville.
The staff is warm and helpful. The main level has a fireplace, plenty of seating, pool table, great views on a spacious deck and tasty snacks daily. The chef made from scratch daily breakfast does help this place stand out. The rooms are themed, and I stayed in the barn room on the main level(Thanks Randy!). This is a great room and has nice views and a cozy feel.
Looking fwd to my next visit!“

“I’ve visited Asheville many times in the past but never stayed at Bent Creek Lodge before. I’ll definitely be back! The location was pretty convenient to Asheville, and such a lovely little escape from the city! The place is so inviting the minute you walk in. My room was clean and cozy, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The breakfast every morning was reason enough to return! So yummy!“

“This was our third time here. There is just something special about this place. It’s almost a fairy tale setting in the forest on a hill, trees all around. Just this quaint lodge not too far from town. That’s just the outside of it.
The inside is just as spectacular. It’s homie, comfortable, warm, and really an escape from stress at home. This time we stayed in the fern room which is on the lower level and was full of all those good touches. From wireless device charging to a Jacuzzi bathtub, it was much better than home. I believe every room has its own door to the outside patio and ours was just outside of some swinging benches and rocking chairs. The main floor has a wonderful living room setting with plenty of comfortable chairs and sofas with plenty of books to read and plenty of games to play. There are plenty of snacks to choose from and soda is free during your stay. Wine and beer costs and is on the honor system and freely available. There are plenty of information brochures about local touristy hot spots.
The best part about this place is the service. Randy the owner has really gone all out to make sure that everyone is impressed and wants to come back! The breakfast service has always been so great. The food has been pretty much gourmet and you are so getting what you paid for in the room with all of this stuff included. Maybe the best part is just the attitude here. It’s always with a smile and always concluded with them asking if there’s anything else they can do to help out. It’s genuine and it’s real. These days, customer service is different and a lot of us miss what it used to be. My family took a trip to a foreign country last year and we were caught a bit off guard by how friendly the customer service was. Bent Creek Lodge reminded me of that and it’s a reason why this place deserves every praise and accolade it can get. Thank you to Randy, Alma, and Ashley for making our stay wonderful.
Did I forget to mention that we had our wedding here on this trip? Yes, they perform weddings and it was just a small eloping ceremony with our parents as witnesses. But it was special and romantic and something I will never forget. To finish out, my mother-in-law originally didn’t want to stay here because it was a bit expensive for her. I covered her because we had a wedding fund and frankly I just wanted her to stay here and experience what we have experienced over the years. Afterwards she reimbursed me saying that it was such a great experience and completely worth all of the money we paid. That just goes to show you that this place is damn special! Looking forward to going back soon.“
